Broken call windows for telephony

Manage phone calls separately with split windows for better overview and multitasking.

With broken conversation windows allows you to handle phone calls completely separate from the main app. Calls, keypad and notifications appear directly on the desktop, even when the app is minimized or resting in the dock.

This provides a better overview and makes it easier to work in parallel with other tasks.


What are broken conversation windows?

Breakout call windows mean that phone calls and related features can appear in their own windows on your desktop.

This means that you can

  • have the app docked
  • continue working in other programs
  • still answer, manage and follow calls in real time

When it rings, a system notice where you can act directly without opening the app.


How it works in practice

Incoming calls when the app is docked

When someone calls, a system notification appears on your computer where you can

  • respond
  • reject
  • park the call
  • which loop the customer has called on
  • If a call has been connected to you, you will see who has connected the call.

When you answer, the call dialer opens automatically, giving you quick access to all call features, such as parking or forwarding.

If you have AI agents activated A short summary of what the customer is requesting is also displayed directly in the notice.

Ongoing call when minimizing the app

Are you on an active call and minimize the app?

  • the call is automatically disconnected
  • the conversation window is placed directly on the desktop
  • you retain full control over the call even when the app is docked

This allows lynes to handle calls in the background while you continue working undisturbed.


Enable split conversation windows

The function is activated directly in the app.

  1. Click on the gear wheel
  1. Select Personal settings
  1. Go to App settings
  1. During the episode Breakout window

Here you can enable the following settings:

Automatically break calls when the app is minimized

When enabled, an ongoing call will automatically break out to the desktop when you minimize the app.


Automatically break out keypad and call notifications

When the app is docked

  • incoming calls are displayed as system notifications
  • you can answer, reject or park immediately
  • which loop the customer has called on
  • If a call has been connected to you, you will see who has connected the call.
  • AI summary is displayed if AI agents are enabled

If you choose to answer, the call dialer will automatically open with more options, such as park or transfer.


Turn off the function

Do you no longer want to use broken conversation windows?

  • go to App settings
  • During the episode Breakout window
  • toggle off the function for Automatically break calls when the app is minimized
  • toggle off the function for Automatically break out keypad and call notifications

The change takes effect immediately.
